Northrop Grumman is looking for an Embedded Software Engineering Manager 1 to lead a team in delivering secure processing software solutions for airborne multifunction sensors. The role involves managing software development, ensuring technical content delivery, and supporting business execution in rapidly changing global security environments.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience developing embedded software
- 2 years of experience with Real-time operating systems
- Experience with C and C++ programming languages
- Knowledge of cryptographic methods and systems
- Experience with Linux or VxWorks and containerization technologies therein
- Working knowledge of Linux or VxWorks operating systems
- Board support software experience
Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight of design, development, and integration of software components, including, at times, hands-on technical contributions to the delivery.
- Support the team in identifying and addressing impediments to the attainment of goals, including taking action to remove impediments where appropriate
- Drive sustainable continuous improvement, using Agile methods, data-driven decisions, and collective innovation
- Generate accurate and timely engineering labor estimates, such as provided in Agile ceremonies or in contract proposals
- Guide the team in compliance with the Internal Software Development Plan (iSDP) and the Agile Development Plan (ADP)
- Coordinate with other disciplines when needed such as Systems, Hardware, Security, or IT
- Set, track, and measure employee performance expectations
