Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager to manage and develop their team, support department initiatives, and drive technical excellence, affordability, and program execution for advanced technology systems, products, and services.
Requirements
- Experience with embedded development using a real-time operating system
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical embedded software systems/programs
- Process Improvement and Affordability experience
- Software engineering Management or Software engineering Team Lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
- Strong software architecture and design experience.
- C/C++/Ada experience
- Linux/VxWorks experience
Responsibilities
- Management and development of the team
- Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
- Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development.
- Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program
Other
- Must currently hold an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science. Other related degree field with significant software development experience
- Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
- In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment.
