Meta's MROS (Mixed Reality Operating system) Base platform organization is responsible for bringing new platforms and products to life, including the core system, sensors, and OS features for all Meta MR (Mixed Reality) devices. The firmware team specifically builds firmware for virtual reality products, enabling user interaction in the Metaverse. The team is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead projects and initiatives that will shape the future of VR products and development, increasing Meta's competitive edge.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in developing and shipping Firmware for consumer electronics products
- 2+ years of experience in directly managing and leading teams
- Experience with building roadmaps and building a team to scale
- Experience working with silicon vendor provided packages and solutions
- Experience working with remote teams
- Working with Camera stack, BSP (Board Support Package) and wireless solutions
Responsibilities
- Be a technical manager engaging in discussions about Firmware development and the supporting software stack
- Collaborate across EE, software teams, production & Data science to define and build software components and customer experiences
- Evolve the team strategy & deliver towards tactical goals
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and be an effective people manager

- MS or BS in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
