Watts Water Technologies is seeking an Embedded Test and Validation Engineer to support New Product Development initiatives and ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of cutting-edge Electronics and IoT products.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working with common scripting languages such as Python and/or Rust
- Understanding of, and experience with, embedded Linux and or other real time operating systems
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits including schematics
- Proficient in the use of electronic test instrumentations such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, emulators, etc
- Version control and reporting approaches and tools such as GitHub, Gitlab or Jira
- Most standard communications environments an protocols such as CAN bus, Modbus, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc
- C, C+, C++, and/or Python
Responsibilities
- Testing and validation over the full product development process within the Stage Gate process, including review of product requirements and technical specifications
- Design, planning, execution and reporting on software, electronics and tests
- Design, planning, execution and reporting on quality and reliability tests, e.g., HALT, MTTF
- Design, planning, execution, and reporting on product validation to meet customer and user performance expectations
- Contributing to development and implementation of improvements to testing procedures and equipment to increase process efficiency and product quality
- Participate in project planning to ensure all testing and validation requirements are completed within the overall project schedule and timelines for milestones and deliverables
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by VP, Engineering & Development

- Ability to travel – up to 5%
- Technologist diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline such as Electrical, Electronics and Communications, Systems, Software, Computer Science, or relevant experience
- 2+ years of technical experience in hardware and firmware testing and troubleshooting complex systems involving Software, Electronics, Automation, Controls, Instrumentation, and/or Internet of Things (IoT) connected devices
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including drug screen, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment
