Comcast is looking to design and develop new software and web applications, perform object-oriented programming for big data applications, and support applications under development to create cutting-edge products, platforms, and solutions.

Requirements

  • developing software in an Agile development environment using Maven, Junit, J2EE, JDBC, and RESTful
  • performing object oriented programming for big data applications using Scala, Java, and big data frameworks including Apache Spark, Apache Flume, and Apache Kafka
  • working with the following databases: Aurora, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Oracle
  • using the following AWS services: Kinesis Data Streams, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, and EC2
  • working with Avro, Json, and Parquet file formats
  • using GitHub, CheckMarx, WhiteSource, and Concourse to ensure application development security
  • developing software using MVC and Play framework; and working with Redis Cache and Cassandra databases

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new software and web applications in an Agile development environment using, Maven, Junit, J2EE, JDBC, RESTful, MVC, and Play framework

  • use the following AWS services: Kinesis Data Streams, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, and EC2
  • work with Avro, Json, and Parquet file formats
  • use GitHub, CheckMarx, WhiteSourcce, and Concourse to ensure application development security
  • support applications under development and customize current applications

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • two (2) years of experience
