Responsibilities
- Design and develop new software and web applications in an Agile development environment using Maven, Junit, J2EE, JDBC, RESTful, MVC, and Play framework
- Perform object oriented programming for big data applications using Scala, Java, and big data frameworks including Apache Spark, Apache Flume, and Apache Kafka
- Use the following databases: Redis Cache, Aurora, MySQL, DynamoDB, Oracle, and Cassandra
- Use the following AWS services: Kinesis Data Streams, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, and EC2
- Work with Avro, Json, and Parquet file formats
- Use GitHub, CheckMarx, WhiteSource, and Concourse to ensure application development security
- Support applications under development and customize current applications
Other
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Two (2) years of experience developing software in an Agile development environment
- Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
