KPMG is seeking an Engineer, Data Visualization and Business Intelligence to join their Digital Nexus technology organization to design and deliver interactive Power BI dashboards, empower the BI community, and stay ahead of emerging technologies to improve analytics, automation, and decision-making across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of recent experience working in analytics including data sourcing, data integration, data analysis, data visualization, business intelligence, statistical analysis, or data science
  • Experience working in an IT environment supporting projects and strong experience using Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) preferred
  • design, build and optimize data models to support analytics, ensuring accuracy, reliability and efficiency
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies including Generative AI and AI agents to identify novel opportunities that improve analytics, automation and decision-making across the enterprise
  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks to ingest, transform and deliver data across medallion architecture layers
  • develop production-grade ETL/ELT solutions using PySpark and SQL to produce analytics-ready Delta Lake datasets aligned with enterprise standards

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver interactive Power BI dashboards that clearly communicate actionable insights to stakeholders; contribute strategic thought leadership to shape the firm's business intelligence vision and standards
  • Empower the BI community through governance guidance, training and cross-functional collaboration; guide the firms Power BI and Alteryx communities by developing and acquiring content for Community of Practice presentations
  • Apply critical thinking and creativity to design innovative, non-standard BI solutions that address complex and evolving business challenges; design, build and optimize data models to support analytics, ensuring accuracy, reliability and efficiency
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies including Generative AI and AI agents to identify novel opportunities that improve analytics, automation and decision-making across the enterprise

Other

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Processing, Information & Data Science, Information Management, Library Science, Management Information Systems or similar program is preferred
  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, organizational and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
  • Ability to build productive relationships with peers, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information
  • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need; must be located within the U.S. when working remotely; client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
