Toyota TRD is looking for a highly motivated Engineer to support their Engine Development Department to advance automotive engineering and maximize racetrack success.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of engine management software function and tuning experience.
- A strong understanding of the function of internal combustion engines.
- Good understanding of basic engineering processes and systems (for design, development, testing and manufacturing).
- Working knowledge of engine management software.
- Proficient experience with dynamometer testing.
- Proficient use of calibration tools.
- Understanding and function of combustion analysis software and hardware (Indimaster/Concerto).
Responsibilities
- Performs thorough engine performance and durability testing to evaluate development items, which includes test methods, data analysis, and detailed reporting in a timely fashion.
- Monitors dyno calendar daily to stay abreast of upcoming assigned tests and schedules.
- Communicates test plan prior to test dates to allow Dyno group to be prepared for efficient use of testing resources.
- Works closely with Dyno Group to coordinate dyno support and development test support when assigned to a particular test.
- Expected to contribute to the Engine Management Development Team, focusing on Durability, Performance, Drivability, and Fuel economy.
- Work with other departments on development of new ideas, testing, and implementation.

- BS in Mechanical Engineering or relative work experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written / Teams, etc.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient experience with Excel, Word, Teams, Power Point.
