The company is looking for an Engineer I, Product to support product improvements by adhering to design control processes and good engineering practices. The role involves completing basic projects on existing products under supervision, assisting with CAPA tasks, and supporting production with specification reviews and issue investigations.
Requirements
- Has engineering foundation - understanding of strength of materials, automation, plastic injection molding, testing, CAD experience, interpret 2D drawings
- Use of office suite, technical writing competency and statistical analysis
- Ability to complete projects with minimum supervision.
- Requires the ability to provide input and recommendations that impact the completion of project goals.
Responsibilities
- Complete activities/tasks, track and report project progress by referencing existing work to complete similar projects and improving on previous work.
- Support project timelines and milestones and bring them to completion on time and within budget
- Assist in completion of CAPA tasks and deliverables (Corrective and Preventive)
- Support Production with Specification review, changes and product issues by participating in root cause investigations (go-n-see, taking pictures, reviewing tolerance stack-up and measurement results)
- Support initiatives for continuous process and product improvements
- Provides input to the product teams regarding the development of new designs, methods or processes.
- May assist in training new employees with respect to documentation, use of equipment, laboratory techniques and department procedures.

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Engineering or Technology)
- 0-2 years’ experience
- Good verbal/written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail along with time management skills are required
- Delivers communications tailored to the needs of the receiver (managers, peers, customers) with appropriate frequency to maximize its utility and promote cross-functional collaboration
