Microchip Technology Inc. is looking for an Entry Level Product Engineer to drive the Product Engineering aspects of new microcontroller development from the development phase to releasing the product to manufacturing, and to work with Test Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to improve yields and production capacity.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience of using lab equipment such as oscilloscope, DVM, Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer
- Preferred Experience: Direct experience in working with microcontroller or semiconductor products, knowledge in statistics.
Responsibilities
- Drive the new product manufacturing reviews, drive and create reports of new silicon validation, characterization, qualification, and release to production.
- Actively participate in silicon validations, new module debug, and bench characterizations.
- Monitor and analyze yields on new products.
- Help identify new product manufacturing issues.
- Drive continuous improvements in product quality and cost.
- Work with Architecture, Design, Test, Planning, Applications, Development Tools, Manufacturing, and Marketing groups throughout the product development cycle.
- On occasion, working closely with the Fab Engineers and Yield Enhancement groups are required.
Other
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Semiconductor Physics.
- 0-3 years experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, Skills in organizing large amount of data and documentation, Good interpersonal skills.
