LPL Financial is looking for a Developer to build high throughput mission critical business applications, leveraging AWS technologies with .Net, SQL Server and PostgreSQL, to help clients pursue their financial goals with confidence.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of C-Sharp, .Net Core, SQL Server and NOSQL DBs (PostgreSQL preferable).
- Ability to create and consume RESTful services.
- Experience with Angular or a similar framework.
- Understanding of responsive design principles to ensure applications work on various devices.
- Knowledge of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Utilizing AI-powered tools like Copilot to generate code snippets, boilerplate code, and entire functions based on natural language descriptions.
- CI/CD using GitHub repositories.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to teammates through technical design and implementation of industry best practices adhering to LPL’s modernization practices, cloud practices, SDLC, and release management processes.
- Develop positive relationships with business partners to understand their needs, manage expectations, deliver value-add solutions and support translation of problem statements into system requirements.
- Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and show success through KPIs.
- Use customer and business feedback to inform roadmaps and non-functional goals.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architecture, data, product, and business partners, and strategies to scale and modernize existing trading platforms.
- Work collaboratively with quality assurance engineering teams, DevOps and PMO to ensure all SDLC processes and Agile best practices are followed.
- Code and implement guardrails to enable self-service and frictionless delivery allowing teams to build and own end-to-end applications and services in the cloud.
Other
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of related experience in capital markets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools.
