Pierce Manufacturing is looking to improve overall process and product quality responsibility, including supplier base, test, manufacturing, sales floor, control test, exercising, pre-ship, deprocessing, customer fielding and service/warranty.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Operations, or a related field for entire duration of internship
Responsibilities
- Review and update quality documentation
- Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to correct and prevent quality issues
- Assist in problem solving and implementing solutions to quality related problems
- Assist staff with the disposition of defective material
- Participate in quality audits internally and externally
- Assist in supplier quality and process control
- Report and respond to quality process nonconformance issues in an expedient manner
Other
- Maintain a positive, professional working relationship with all customers
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) throughout the summer
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Must exhibit the ability to proactively complete assigned tasks
- Must be willing to complete additional advanced training/educational courses as required
