Microchip Technology Inc. is looking for an Engineer I - Product to join their team to work with semiconductor foundry, tests, and manufacturing engineers to drive yield and quality improvement, cost reduction, and qualify materials and electronic packages with suppliers and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Experience with AC/DC electrical parameter testing for diodes, transistors and MOSFET, including hands-on test characterization and analysis.
- Experience with root-cause and failure analysis, troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of related military specifications including MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-STD-750, and MIL-STD 883 and use this knowledge in reviewing customer drawings.
- Six Sigma knowledge
- FMEA, DMEA, 5-whys, root-cause analysis
- Statistical tools experience - Minitab
- Spice modeling, and parameters extraction.
- Software skills in Lab view, Silvaco tool set, TCAD, Spice models.
Responsibilities
- Support for ongoing product engineering efforts on qualified products; assist in problem-solving and improving existing products.
- Drives engineering efforts for new product qualification.
- Provide custom product engineering support.
- Create and/or review product documentation including Assembly/Post Assembly Travelers, Screening Travelers, and Data Sheets.
- Responsible for identifying new product BOMs (Bill of Materials) as they are developed or changes as they are implemented.
- Support test engineers to improve assembly and test Follow up with Corrective Actions, as assigned.
Other
- BSEE, BSME or relevant Engineering Degree, MS preferred.
- Ideal candidate 2 years+ experience is in a Semiconductor Manufacturing environment in Product Engineering, metal, or glass assembly processes.
