Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for an Engineer / Principal Manufacturing Engineer to support the highly automated production of composite aerospace components, focusing on process improvements, defect elimination, and troubleshooting production issues.
Requirements
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience using DMAIC problem solving system
- Experience with composite manufacturing
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience working with/programming Fanuc or similar robots
- Experience using NX or similar CAD software
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop and implement process improvements as well as support site initiatives.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel in the highly automated production of composite aerospace components.
- Author, modify, and audit shop floor electronic work instructions (EWIs).
- Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to permanently eliminate defects.
- Troubleshoot production/equipment/program/tooling issues and implementing improvements and solutions.
