Newport News Shipbuilding is looking to solve the problem of designing, developing, documenting, testing and debugging applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions to support the engineering department and Ford Class Software development.
Requirements
- Coding experience with C-Sharp, Python, C++, and SQL
- RHEL 6-10 interest
- Database management
- Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Azure Containers)
- Experience with creating and managing pipelines
- Full stack developing experience or interest
- DevSecOPS interest
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
- Prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
- Ensures software standards are met
- Designing, developing, documenting, testing and debugging software applications for internal process improvement applications
- Supporting Ford Class Software development

- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience
- Master’s Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
