Nationwide is looking for a Software Engineer to deliver secure technology solutions to support the company in providing extraordinary care to its customers
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, and/or Kafka
- Exposure to APEX or Salesforce (a plus)
- Proficiency of at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, etc
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Good problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and best practices
- Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities
- Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques
- Adopts continuous improvement and learning
- Handles project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively
Other
- Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or other related degree
- One or more years of technology experience
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus
- Regularly and consistently demonstrates Nationwide Values
