FlightSafety International is looking for an engineer to evaluate, select, and apply appropriate engineering techniques and procedures to create accurate aircraft systems simulation models.
Requirements
- C++ programming
- Object oriented design
- Other procedural or object-oriented programming languages (Fortran, Ada, etc.)
- Scripting programming languages (Python, etc.)
- Design patterns and/or multi-threading experience
- Real-time, multiprocessing development
- MS Visual Studio
Responsibilities
- Reviews simulator engineering specifications, malfunction documents, flight manual, aircraft systems data and aircraft data.
- Implements all standard aircraft systems simulation software and integrates the software with that of other engineering disciplines such as propulsion, flight, navigational and visual systems.
- Transforms flow chart into high order computer language (e.g. Fortran, C++)
- Develops complete aircraft systems program Math Models, flow charts, and source code as required by the aircraft simulator specification.
- Performs an analysis of the aircraft systems and data.
- Prepares customer test guide for the aircraft systems per specifications.
- Performs standardized checkout procedures.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other applicable technical field
- ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Travel, shift work, and special work hours may be required to accomplish some of the above tasks.
- Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
