RTX is looking to develop the next generation aerospace manufacturing technology by having engineering students learn engineering principles used in manufacturing, become familiar with Industry 4.0 concepts, state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, and drive adoption of technology in a production setting.
Requirements
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Experience with CAD modeling.
- PLC/Controls experience
- Knowledge of Lean principles and concepts.
Responsibilities
- You will identify use cases for new technology manufacturing tools and machines.
- You will design and plan layout for Smart factory assembly and materials handling equipment.
- You will help plan and participate in process flow design.
- You will work on analysis of various manufacturing data, i.e. Work In Process (WIP), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- You will research and report on design concepts to optimize deployment of manufacturing techniques.

- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Ability to work independently.
