LSEG is looking to solve complex problems in financial markets by delivering software used by some of the biggest companies in the world, and is seeking a graduate to join their Engineering function in New York to contribute to this effort.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in technology proven via work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies
  • Demonstrable interest in financial markets, built through studies, work experience or extracurricular activities
  • Curiosity for data and ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions
  • Ability to connect the dots and think strategically
  • Knowledge of software and platform engineering, reliability engineering, or related fields
  • Familiarity with coding languages and technologies
  • Experience with data analysis and problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve software, infrastructure and systems that support LSEG's products and services
  • Deliver usable, maintainable applications across the full software and infrastructure lifecycle
  • Identify and reduce risks to performance and availability, and develop tools and implement strategies to prevent problems before they occur
  • Recover quickly from failures to keep platforms, applications, and services stable and reliable
  • Participate in group projects aligned to LSEG goals
  • Meet in person with cohort at 'Ignite', the programme mid-point skills offsite to explore key knowledge areas and skills
  • Access opportunities to earn industry-recognized qualifications, including 5 study days during programme

Other

  • Final year undergraduate or Masters student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
  • Completed all requirements of course before August 2026 or a fresh graduate in class of 2025
  • Rights to work in the US without restrictions for the duration of the graduate programme
  • Ability to collaborate with others and communicate effectively
  • Focus, resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing demands
