Responsibilities
- Observes and may participate in product development from ideation to commercialization through entire product life cycle with guidance from engineering staff including:
- Competitive product for performance characteristics
- Conceptualizing new design ideas
- Solidworks for parametric modeling and detailing designs of P28 implants and instruments
- Create design control documentation for P28 design history files
- Development of testing protocols and testing process for new and existing products
- Observe surgery (live, cadaver, or video) on lower extremity pathology. Document all notes.
Requirements
- Familiarity with CAD. SolidWorks preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office
Other
- Generally limited to students pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline with an interest/background in medical device
- Prior experience in medical device development helpful but not required
- Effective communication skills.
