Iron Senergy is looking for an Engineering Intern to assist their assigned department in fulfilling objectives while gaining hands-on experience and furthering their education. This role will expose interns to different jobs and procedures within the company, with a specific focus on underground mine systems.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in as related discipline (Mining Technology, Engineering: Mining, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or Industrial)
- Prefer Underground Mining experience (internship/co-op)
- Knowledge of safety requirements in mining operations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Underground interns will evaluate and solve operational problems and carry out engineering-related tasks associated with underground mine systems to include ventilation, hoisting, conveyance, electrical design, mechanical maintenance, and roof control.
Other
- All interns must be willing to accept underground mining assignments while employed with the Company.
- Surface or underground operational employment will require additional training to be provided by the Company.
- Intern will be assigned to crews or departments to assist with the completion of a variety of tasks to expose intern to different jobs and procedures.
- Physical, environmental, and sensory requirement will change dependent upon assignment.
