Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is looking to solve the problem of process enhancement using large language models for proposal development and other initiatives.
Requirements
- Past experience with Large Language Models, including code-development and applications
- Experience in programming with Python, MATLAB, C++
- Some experience with the design and development of Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
- Knowledge of code versioning tools (Git)
- Experience with vector databases
- Experience with testing and documentation
- Experience with IRAD
Responsibilities
- supporting the Large Language Model - Digital Assistant (LLM-DA) IRAD project by assisting in the ingestion and preprocessing of large datasets
- developing and deploying vector databases
- integrating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
- contributing to the design, testing, and documentation of a LLM application for proposal development
- supporting the Engineering Department on initiatives to leverage similar large language model capabilities to support process improvements
- working on concurrent projects involving the use of large language models for process enhancement
- designing and developing Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
Other
- Upper-level (junior or senior) student in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Cyber-related degree field
- GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with help from experienced team members
- Must possess communication skills for interacting with other engineers/analysts and customers
