Cornerstone Building Brands is looking to improve production, production control, and quality through engineering projects
Requirements
- Experience with AutoCad, Inventor, or Solid works will be an advantage
- Experience in data interpretation/manipulation via MS Excel preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
- Demonstrable interest in industrial processes
- Experience with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox
- Ability to work with MS Excel
- Ability to learn and use new software and technologies
Responsibilities
- Create a Standard Work for every position in plant
- Conduct time studies on every position in the plant
- Create a balance Chart for every line in the plant
- Creating process flows
- Process mapping
- Creating layouts
- Test equipment design/improvement
Other
- Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing a degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited school
- Must have valid US work authorization
- Must be able to communicate and engage with employees on the shop floor
- Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in office and shop floor environments with extended periods of sitting and standing
