Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BS in Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering, or other similar program at University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana
- Capability and desire to work with the lab for 2-3 years as an intern (Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior year or equivalent time to graduation)
- Permanent US Work authorization
- Ability to work with new and developing technologies
- Ability to apply academic knowledge to real-world tasks
- Ability to work in a supportive, collaborative, and conducive to learning environment
- Ability to manage own schedules, set goals, and seek feedback for professional development
Responsibilities
- Work on POC style projects to envision the application of new and developing technologies to the recreational marine market
- Contribute to Brunswick's autonomy, connectivity, and electrification (ACE) efforts
- Develop AI products
- Apply academic knowledge to real-world tasks
- Support larger projects or handle smaller, individual assignments
- Manage own schedules, set goals, and seek feedback for professional development
- Work on specific projects or tasks that contribute to the organization's goals
Other
- To be considered for the internship, candidates must have permanent US Work authorization
- Currently enrolled in a BS program at University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana
- Ability to work at least 8 hours in person at the lab each week during the fall and spring terms
- Ability to work up to 20 hours maximum during the fall and spring terms
- Ability to work 40 hours in person at the lab each week during summer
