Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is looking to shape the next generation of vehicle electrical architecture, specifically in the area of infotainment hardware architecture, by integrating systems and prototyping cutting-edge hardware and software solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with Ethernet & Linux
- Strong EE background for schematics and taking oscilloscope measurements
- Effective in scripting languages like Python and Bash
- Experience in automotive systems and applications
- Experience with DSPs, particularly for audio
- Familiar with analysis tools such as Wireshark
- Software experience with systems languages such as C, C++, Rust or Go
Responsibilities
- Prototype and compare industry leading vehicle networking audio technologies to inform decisions for future architectures
- Develop thorough cost-benefit analysis for different technologies, understanding how these ideas fit into the wider vehicle architecture and build a great product
- Be hands-on with early silicon to help size and evaluate DSP resources
- Take ideas through stages of concept, design, execution, deployment and hardening in a production environment
- Benchmark performance across a variety of exciting, rich environments like lab cars, test vehicles, and HILs (Hardware-in-the-Loop benches)
Other
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at an accredited university
- Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
