Hubbell Incorporated is looking to solve the business and technical problem of enabling grid modernization and electrification by developing innovative solutions for a more reliable, resilient, and efficient energy infrastructure. This internship aims to bring in fresh talent to contribute to the development of real-time embedded firmware for microprocessor-based grid modernizing products.

Requirements

  • Help develop real-time embedded firmware for microprocessor-based grid modernizing products
  • Design, implement and test embedded firmware and related applications for microprocessor-based grid modernizing products in an Agile development environment
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning sessions to track and plan your development work
  • Lead and participate in code and design reviews
  • Perform tests to assure quality control
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop real-time embedded firmware for microprocessor-based grid modernizing products
  • Design, implement and test embedded firmware and related applications for microprocessor-based grid modernizing products in an Agile development environment
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning sessions to track and plan your development work
  • Lead and participate in code and design reviews
  • Present to engineering and management teams
  • Perform tests to assure quality control
  • Review current engineering program activities to make recommendations for changes/improvement opportunities

Other

  • Enrollment in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree related to the internship (required)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (required)
  • Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which will help them build a strong network within the Hubbell community.
  • The intern will be expected to work full-time at 40 hours/week
