Goldman Sachs is looking for engineers to solve challenging engineering problems for their clients, build scalable software and systems, and leverage machine learning and financial engineering to turn data into action. The SPARC team specifically aims to improve the operational reliability of trading systems through automation.

Requirements

  • Enterprise database systems (Sybase)
  • NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, ElasticSearch
  • Programming in Python, Java or UNIX Shell script.
  • Interpreted language such as Python or programming in a complied language such as Java.
  • Restful APIs, Core Java, Spring, Kafka and related frameworks.
  • Software development experience including software design.
  • Database technologies including modelling and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

  • Constructing and executing analyses of large data-sets, identifying issues, trends, and opportunities for automation.
  • Build automated tooling and solutions to address risks in the plant, and improve the operational reliability of our systems.
  • Collaborate with other infrastructure and engineering teams.
  • Participate in technical design, documentation, estimating implementation efforts.
  • Develop, test and support software products.
  • Perform user acceptance testing, analyze test results and plan for bug-fixes.
