The company is looking to fill a leadership position in engineering to provide technical guidance and supervision to various teams within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field, or 10 years’ equivalent work experience
- Good comprehension of Howmet Aerospace cost structure
- Working knowledge of investment casting processes, quality systems, statistics and customer specifications
- Proficiency with computer hardware and software
Responsibilities
- Directs all engineering activities for HLC
- Develops engineers for improved performance in their primary area of responsibility
- Participates in the conception, evaluation and implementation of cost reduction, product improvement and production problem solving activities
- Generates or approves shop floor manufacturing, engineering, and quality documentation
- Provides engineering support to development projects
- Leads engineering efforts to reduce costs and standardize processes
- Participates in direct resolution of process and/or product engineering problems
Other
- 3 years in a Supervisory capacity
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Ability to communicate in all forms to diverse audiences
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
