Ferrotec’s Thermal Business Unit is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on the custom design and development of thermal solutions.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- Experience with thermal systems, electromechanical assemblies, or related custom product development
- Strong understanding of product development workflows from concept through production
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as CAD and simulation or analysis software
- Experience with design for manufacturability, structured problem-solving, and engineering documentation standards
Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day leadership of a team of design and development engineers
- Supports cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Applications, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Quality
- Oversees execution of engineering deliverables across new product development and sustaining projects
- Ensures effective use of engineering tools, documentation standards, and design controls
- Guides project planning, task prioritization, and resource allocation to meet business objectives
- Contributes to continuous improvement of design processes and engineering best practices
