To lead the OSP design team and oversee the successful execution of fiber network engineering projects across multiple markets, ensuring on-time delivery, quality standards, and budget adherence.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of FTTH/FTTP network architecture, including centralized and distributed split designs
- Proficiency with engineering and GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Vetro, 3-GIS, IQGeo, or similar
- Comprehensive knowledge of permitting processes, regional design standards, and construction practicality
- Experience with BEAD, RDOF, or other federally funded broadband programs (preferred)
- Knowledge of pole loading analysis, joint-use coordination, and easement/right-of-way planning (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle for multiple OSP fiber network design initiatives
- Serve as the primary technical authority and escalation point for complex design challenges, regulatory compliance, and engineering decisions
- Review and approve high-level and detailed fiber design packages including route analysis, splice points, and construction documentation
- Leverage engineering software platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Katapult, etc.) to oversee design workflows and ensure data integrity
- Monitor project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes
Other
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in OSP fiber network engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills in both in-person and remote environments
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, GIS, or a related field required
