To manage engineering for design and development of technologies, components, systems, products, or services for Caterpillar's Electric Power Division (EPD) and provide sustainable and reliable solutions to customers
Requirements
- Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
- Knowledge of effective planning techniques
- Knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
- Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
- Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods
- Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production
Responsibilities
- Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams
- Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization
- Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects
- Maintaining product release plans and material plans
- Driving programs to completion on time and within budget
