Overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from concept through completion to meet quality, cost, and schedule targets while aligning with business objectives and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Familiar with 2D & 3D CAD software and GD&T
- Ability to direct and coordinate the efforts of several employees.
- Strong leadership abilities - delegating work and scheduling / prioritizing.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team on multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with product managers, manufacturing, quality, and other stakeholders to define requirements and ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the creation of detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, and BOMs.
- Develop and maintain engineering design standards.
- Ability to design, interpret, and create prints and architectural drawings.
Other
- Ability to travel up to 25% to vendors, customers, and other TSS locations.
- Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
- Optimizes organizational effectiveness and prioritizes workload, even with multiple interruptions.
- Adjusts promptly and calmly to change, works well as part of a team, and remains calm under pressure.
