Adler Pelzer Group is seeking an Engineering Manager to improve throughput, inventory, and operating expenses in their manufacturing operations, while also supporting new products, processes, and tooling.
Requirements
- Ability to use design software.
- 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing preferably in automotive interior trim and systems.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
- Excellent organizational skills.
- The ability to lead personnel within the department.
- The ability to multi-task.
- Excellent researching skills.
Responsibilities
- Manages the Engineering Department to deliver the engineering priorities of the facility.
- Confers with planning, corporate engineering and the design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Responsible to manage personnel and projects within his/her department.
- Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes data for the development of standards and labor utilization.
- Research new and improved equipment and processes.
Other
- Adherence to plant safety requirements as established by company policy.
- Participate in Production decisions concerning new product lines.
- Adhere to applicable TS 16949 requirements.
- Required to adhere to applicable ISO 14001 requirements.
- May be required to lift a minimum of 25 pounds overhead.
