Georgia-Pacific is seeking qualified professionals to consider for an Engineering Manager role supporting the Consumer Manufacturing Group located in Muskogee, OK. The Muskogee facility uses integrated technology to manufacture tissue, towel, and napkin products in a progressive production environment. As the Engineering Manager at Georgia-Pacific's Muskogee manufacturing facility, you will lead a team of skilled engineers responsible for driving operational excellence through effective engineering solutions. You will help to manage capital projects, and process improvements to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. Your leadership will be critical in enhancing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting sustainable manufacturing practices aligned with Georgia-Pacific's business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of (3) years in a leadership or supervisory role managing engineering teams
  • Minimum of (7) seven years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing or process industries
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with an emphasis on safety, quality, and cost control
  • Demonstrated experience in driving change and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, process systems, and manufacturing operations relevant to pulp and paper or related industries
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS), CAD software, and project management tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop an engineering team focused on mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines
  • Manage and prioritize capital projects, maintenance improvements, and plant expansions to support production goals
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards
  • Oversee plant equipment maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and reliability
  • Implement predictive and preventative maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Drive initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, improve energy efficiency, and reduce costs
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for equipment failures or process inefficiencies
