The Systems Engineering Manager provides expertise, leadership, and supervision for the Systems Engineering team to ensure that system designs meet technical requirements and customer needs within the web-guiding and tension industry, driving product development and improving processes.
Requirements
- Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor, strongly favoring candidates with experience in design-focused software tools.
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and processes with the ability to integrate these with factory standards, fabrication processes, and design aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Actively integrates product design thinking into the team's workflow, ensuring that all system designs meet technical specifications and align with user-centered design philosophies.
- Develops and maintains business metrics reflecting product design efficiency and effectiveness, departmental efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Champions the introduction of new products into the pipeline, focusing on innovative design solutions and market relevance.
- Creates an environment within the department that promotes leadership, innovation, and creative design ideas.
- Manages budget with an eye on design resource allocation and cost-benefit analysis in product design aspects.
- Stay current with developments in industry CAD software, computer-related hardware, and emerging trends in product design and user experience.
- Modify existing system designs to meet current customer needs.

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline, with additional coursework or experience in Product Design or Industrial Design being highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for product aesthetics and user-centric design solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility to work on multiple projects and assignments is critical.
