Requirements
- Proficient in SKM Power Tools, ETAP, AutoCAD, and protection analysis software
- Strong understanding of power distribution (low to high voltage), RTS, Doble Pro Suite, and familiarity with NETA/NICET standards
- Experience with technical scopes of work, bills of materials, and system specifications
- Knowledge of short circuit analysis, arc flash hazard analysis, load flow and reliability studies, overcurrent device coordination, and power quality and protective relay studies
- Familiarity with electrical power systems engineering and leadership experience
- Experience managing engineering field teams or technical project teams
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of engineers conducting short circuit analysis, arc flash hazard analysis, load flow and reliability studies, overcurrent device coordination, and power quality and protective relay studies
- Oversee start-up, commissioning, acceptance testing, and maintenance of electrical power systems
- Supervise field activities including testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, protective relays, and metering systems
- Plan resource allocation, project timelines, and ensure timely delivery of engineering studies and field services
- Provide technical oversight to ensure adherence to NETA standards and best practices
- Review and approve electrical schematics, one-line and three-line diagrams, and system design packages
- Ensure documentation, reports, and test results are accurate and comply with regulatory and client requirements
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (master’s preferred)
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- At least 10 years in electrical power systems engineering with leadership experience
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as required by project and team support needs
- Valid authorization to work in the United States
