Requirements
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and skills
- Extensive knowledge of electrical/electronic design and applicable global certification requirements

Responsibilities
- Oversee research activities and develop knowledge-based products for the company
- Oversee a department of engineers, test lab and documentation control personnel
- Manage the new product development, sustaining engineering and i2v (cost reduction) teams as assigned to meet organizational needs and project on-time delivery
- Overseas complex projects, analyzes results and provides recommendation based on findings
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met/assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and adhering to approved budgets
- Function as the subject matter expert for electrical/electronic products to provide support and guidance to the global engineering organization
- Verify applicable global certification requirements and ensure products are developed with proper certifications for the markets where they are to be sold
Other
- Minimum of five (5) years in the related area as an individual contributor
- At least one to three (1-3) years supervisory experience is a must
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities
