Replo is looking to hire an engineering manager focused on product engineering to help grow their AI platform, set technical direction, mentor engineers, and define best practices. The role involves hands-on coding initially, with a progression towards managing teams and working directly with co-founders to ship great products.
Requirements
- Uses Cursor/Windsurf/GPT to accelerate their work
- Has built products 0 -> 1 with real users and revenue
- Is comfortable with ambiguity and defining software architecture patterns to solve customer pain points
- Values writing clean, maintainable software, including documentation (e.g. the code needs to be correct and run fast, but we’re the ones that have to read it and understand it)
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development
- At least 2+ years of tech lead/engineering management
- Experience leading projects on a cross-team or company-wide scale
Responsibilities
- Architecting and implementing full-stack product features.
- Build agentic workflows that design and build online shops for anyone, from SaaS startups to M&Ms
- Build out product & payments processing infrastructure for millions of users
- Ingest billions of events/month using Kafka + ClickHouse, powering real-time dashboards and automating marketing strategies
- Own our user onboarding and billing flow from end-to-end
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, from system architecture and design to incident response and roadmap definition.
- Work every day with founders to shape and execute on the long-term vision for Replo's AI platform.

- MUST start off as an IC, and you MUST write code.
- Can be in office 3-4 days/week in San Francisco
