The resort needs to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation and upkeep of its physical assets, including all building systems, guest rooms, and common areas, to maintain functionality, safety, and presentability for guests and employees.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical).
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, and outdoors in varied weather.
- Able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems.
- Ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are maintained in good working order.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Respond quickly to urgent repair needs to limit guest or operational impact.
- Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring cost control and proper usage.
- Maintain property compliance with safety, fire, and environmental regulations.
- Keep up-to-date records for inspections, certifications, and routine maintenance.

- Lead, schedule, and support a team of maintenance technicians.
- Train staff on safe work practices, equipment use, and departmental procedures.
- Foster a collaborative, problem-solving environment to ensure issues are addressed promptly.
- Lead the organization and management of departmental workflow.
- Work with vendors and contractors for repair services and larger projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school preferred.
- 3+ years of maintenance/engineering experience, including supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Hands-on leadership style with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
