Cambio is looking to solve the problem of real estate decarbonization by developing a machine learning-driven, end-to-end real estate sustainability platform to help commercial real estate owners and tenants bring their real estate portfolios to net-zero.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in a management or tech lead role.
  • Strong background in our tech stack that optimizes your ability to be hands-on, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with AWS, Fargate, Redis, PostgreSQL, SQS, CDK, Github, retool
  • Experience with Django REST framework, Celery
  • Experience with Next.js, Tailwind css
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Claude
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and grow engineers while fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Grow the Team: Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop engineers across levels. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture across a distributed team
  • Drive Product Delivery: Support product and design leads to define roadmaps, scope initiatives, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
  • Maintain Technical Excellence: Guide technical design reviews, manage trade-offs between speed and scalability, and ensure best practices in testing, reliability, and security.
  • Enable Scale: Optimize for speed and innovation.
  • Contribute directly as an IC to gain deep insight into our technology, processes, engineering culture, and developer experience.
  • Transition fully into the Engineering Leader role after the initial two months.
  • Ship impactful features while building a high-performing, mission-driven engineering culture.

  • Experience in startups or fast-paced environments preferred.
