Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Engineering Managers to lead high-performing BCA Payloads & Flammability Engineering teams providing a variety of technical solutions and complex project oversight in support of existing and future commercial airplane products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace Industry.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from conception to completion.
- 3+ years of experience leading aerospace design engineering teams and integrating within a global supply base and product value streams.
- Knowledge of Boeing products and processes.
- Knowledge of aircraft Cabin and Cargo products.
- Experience with commercial aircraft certification processes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
- Lead development of cabin and interior solutions for the Payloads and Flammability Engineering function in support of current and future commercial airplane products.
- Provide oversight to complex projects; integrating multiple considerations including: suppliers, interfacing engineering teams, production system needs, regulations, and airline requirements.
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.
- Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements.
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manage, develop and motivate employees.
