Tesco Controls is looking to hire an Engineering Manager to manage technical activities and teams of engineers, related professionals, and support personnel. This role is crucial for optimizing operations, increasing overall efficiency, and reducing operating costs for their clients in the water/wastewater, transportation, power, and renewable energy sectors.

Requirements

  • Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation engineering design principles, and methodologies
  • Electrical/Controls Engineering codes and Standards in a regulated industry
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and Adobe Acrobat
  • AutoCAD/ AutoCAD Electrical
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Engineer in electrical, controls, or Instrumentation
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing, supervising, and leading Engineering teams
  • Experience in a regulated industry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assign engineering resources based on skills and competencies, acting as a “Subject Matter Expert” and encouraging team members to take initiative and collaborate for optimal results
  • Ensure all engineering teams comply with quality requirements and meet the project schedule and budget requirements
  • Support the Project Management team by addressing technical concerns with internal and external stakeholders, modeling effective communication and problem-solving
  • Provide engineering expertise throughout estimation, sales, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and operations, always seeking opportunities to innovate and improve processes
  • Review design tools, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with standards and recommend improvements that simplify workflows and enhance efficiency
  • Monitor engineering capacity and resource utilization, providing accurate estimates and advocating for the best use of talent
  • Gather and analyze information during and after project execution, recommending and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that reflect winning behaviors

  • Fosters a collaborative environment where team members feel empowered to take ownership of their work and support one another.
