Kraken is looking to accelerate the global adoption of crypto, so that everyone can achieve financial freedom and inclusion, by building and scaling Kraken’s Earn experiences across Kraken, Consumer, and Pro platforms.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering customer-facing products at scale.
- Experience managing a combined frontend and backend engineering team
- Deep technical background in React, Next.js, and React Native, with a solid understanding of modern frontend architectures.
- Strong cross-functional leadership — able to align frontend and backend efforts in a complex, multi-platform environment.
- Experience in FinTech, DeFi, or trading products is valued.
- Experience building or managing shared SDKs or libraries used across multiple teams.
- Working knowledge of Rust (or similar languages such as Go or C++), and familiarity with async architectures, APIs, and microservices.
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of frontend and backend engineers responsible for all Earn-related experiences.
- Own the UX for Earn features across Kraken’s core products (Kraken, Consumer, Pro).
- Oversee the Earn SDK and its integration across web (React) and mobile (React Native) platforms.
- Manage and evolve the internal Earn management tool, a backend admin panel for managing all earn strategies.
- Collaborate with the Earn Service Guild and Tech Leads to maintain consistent engineering standards across services.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to define and deliver high-impact features with measurable business and customer value.
- Champion engineering excellence, maintainable architectures, and code quality.
