ZenBusiness is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their Salesforce and Automation Engineering teams. These teams are responsible for the systems, integrations, and workflows that drive the company's internal operations and customer experience. The goal is to improve operational efficiency through technology and AI, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with company strategy.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software or systems engineering, with 3+ years in a management or lead role.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, governance, and development lifecycle.
- Proven experience with workflow automation, integration platforms, or orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with AI platforms or low/no-code tools for business process optimization.
- Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps principles.
- Familiarity with iPaaS, automation, and data tools such as Workato, UiPath, Snowflake, and Tableau.
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform Developer, or Architect).
Responsibilities
- Oversee Salesforce architecture, development, and governance to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Lead the design and implementation of automation and AI-enabled workflows that improve sales, service, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain strong DevOps practices, including version control, sandbox management, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and observability through effective monitoring and incident management.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to support analytics and reporting pipelines that inform key business decisions.
- Oversee intake, refinement, and sprint execution for Salesforce and Automation teams.
- Lead weekly production triage to ensure prompt and high-quality issue resolution.
Other
- Lead a distributed team of Salesforce and Automation engineers, including full-time employees and nearshore contractors.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to promote career growth and engagement.
- Empower senior engineers and leads to own sprint planning, delivery, and retrospectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with business stakeholders to manage backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and roadmap execution.
