Hayward Holdings Inc. is looking to solve the problem of developing and manufacturing residential and commercial pool and spa equipment, including gas heaters and heat pumps, while ensuring reliability and executing project schedules and cost targets.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise with the development of new products from concept into manufacturing, balancing cost, performance and schedule.
- Knowledge of safety standards and agency regulations associated with product development in gas heating and heat pumps.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with manufacturing engineering and production personnel leveraging strong DFM/A principles.
- Design and development experience of medium to high-volume consumer products.
- Experience with CAD design
- Experience with HVAC systems
- Experience with gas heaters and heat pumps
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for execution of New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering initiatives to planned time frames and budgets for natural/propane gas heaters and heat pumps in Nashville.
- Direct engineering activities for gas heaters and heat pumps. Prioritize resources among New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering activities.
- Provide leadership for internal heating development projects and for projects with Hayward third party technology partners.
- Support the Project Management Office (PMO) by enabling adherence to the Hayward gated development process for all gas heaters and heat pump development projects.
- Collaborate with Quality, Testing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing groups to ensure development flows into production.
- Understand key competitor products and technology. Understand regional and global customer markets.
- Manage 3rd party development efforts from definition of initial specification to delivery.
Other
- 12+ years’ experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment, preferably with gas heaters and/or heat pumps
- 8+ years’ experience leading engineering teams.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Master’s degree preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
