Zello is looking for a player/coach to act as both a PHP/Jquery developer and an engineering manager for their Web/Services team, aiming to improve delivery projections, bug SLA turnaround, and employee NPS scores in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
Requirements
- Be familiar with metrics like cycle time, throughput, velocity and how those systems can be improved.
- Ideally you’re familiar with “The Phoenix Project” and/or Accelerate or any work by Gene Kim or constraint theory
- You still very much enjoy being a technical contributor but know how to balance between IC and Managerial work
- You’ve been part of a PagerDuty/On call rotation
Responsibilities
- Act as a PHP/Jquery developer for our web application 50% of the time.
- Act as an engineering manager for our Web/Services team (team ownership could change as org evolves)
