Galleher Industries is expanding into Lafayette, Indiana with a brand-new facility and needs an Engineering Manager to lead the launch and ongoing engineering operations of this new site.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (required).
  • Experience with CNC equipment — programming experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with fixture design, tooling, and equipment startup.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all Engineering and Maintenance initiatives for the Lafayette start-up facility.
  • Oversee process design, equipment identification, and plant layout planning to support new production operations.
  • Develop cost estimates for new products and projects in coordination with leadership and sales teams.
  • Manage product launch activities including tooling and fixture design, equipment installation, and production startup.
  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders, customers, and the sales team on product specifications and feasibility.
  • Partner with Operations and Maintenance to ensure new processes meet production, quality, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of engineering designs, revisions, and process changes.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).
  • 5–10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in transportation manufacturing (trailers, truck bodies, or similar) a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across departments and multiple locations.
  • Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
