RCI Adventure Products is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their U.S. and international engineering teams in designing and developing large-scale steel adventure courses and products. This role requires a balance of technical depth, people leadership, and project management excellence to ensure designs are safe, innovative, and globally recognized.
Requirements
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally with large-scale steel or load-bearing projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; experience with Autodesk Robot is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of welding practices, materials, and fabrication processes.
- Experience with structural analysis, load calculations, and foundation design.
- Familiarity with ASTM standards and safety requirements for adventure or amusement structures preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and engineering of large-scale steel frame adventure courses and structural products from concept to completion.
- Review and approve detailed shop drawings, weldment prints, and 3D models.
- Conduct and oversee structural analysis, load calculations, and design validation.
- Ensure designs meet all applicable safety codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Partner with manufacturing and installation teams to optimize quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across global engineering teams.
- Serve as the key technical liaison with clients and other internal departments.
