The company is looking to hire an Engineering Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a highly skilled engineering team, ensuring company objectives and goals are met. This role involves hands-on support, leading engineering functions, and ensuring projects comply with specifications and codes.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of elevator codes and compliance requirements.
  • Must have prior experience working in accordance with ASME 17.1 elevator codes and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with utilizing AutoCAD software
  • Thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria.
  • Thorough understanding of applied math and physics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

  • Provides hands-on support with engineering project requirements.
  • Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including quality assurance, sales support, production support, and development of new and existing product lines.
  • Ensures projects comply with specifications, timelines, and elevator code.
  • Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.
  • Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.

  • The Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a highly skilled engineering team while ensuring company objectives and goals are met.
  • This person would be responsible for leading 3-4 employees and will directly oversee the engineering department.
  • Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Innovative with a “think outside the box” mentality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • 5+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
  • Relocation will be required for this position.
  • All interested candidates must be able to work on-site and relocate for the position.
