Nucor is looking to solve the problem of leading the Engineering department at Vulcraft Texas, ensuring alignment with Nucor & Divisional expectations, and driving sustainable, profitable results.
Requirements
- Must be a Civil or Structural PE with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Leadership experience in an Engineering Department
- Work experience in Sales, Sales Service, Finance, Production or Shipping
- CWI Certification
Responsibilities
- Lead the division's detailing, engineering, and quality efforts in alignment with Nucor's expectations.
- Develop and manage the systems and processes necessary for effective execution of near and long-term division strategies.
- Provide guidance and expertise in relevant engineering codes and standards.
- Support division efforts in innovation through collaborative problem solving and technical support.
- Provide leadership in division and group projects that target and produce the highest returns for Nucor.
- Recruit, select, and develop the right team with a balance of technical, business and leadership skills.
- Lead the Engineering department at VTX and ensure alignment with Nucor & Divisional expectations.
Other
- Must have the ability to travel as needed.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
